Today Greece may be in a bit of a fix economically, but this does not take anything away from what it really is. Greece is a land of immense intrigue – it has a truly fascinating history with men the likes of Alexander, Plato, Aristotle, Leonidas I, Archimedes and Socrates all hailing from Greece. It was where democracy originated and philosophy took birth, great discoveries which changed the course of history were made on Greek soil. This history combined with its natural beauty make it one of the most desired places to visit in the world.
