Tips on When You’ve Missed a Flight

No matter how much you plan your trip and leave your home on time for the airport there is always a chance that you can miss the flight. There is always something you can come across that can cause you getting late for the flight. The very thought of missing a flight is pretty scary and it can turn your entire vacation into smoke. So what to do when you missed a flight?

Stay Positive

The first thing you need to do is stay calm and positive, take a deep breath and try to think that what should be done. Avoid panicking as it will only create problem, if you want a solution you need to stay clear and focus on the solution.

Don’t Go Home

When you have reached the airport and you realized that you have missed a flight then don’t get all depressed. Look for other flights flying on the same day and get yourself or your family on one of those flights.

Get In-Touch With The Airline

When you missed a flight don’t be afraid to speak with your airline, some airline have amazing policies if case any passenger misses the flight and are ready to help you by boarding you on their next flight without paying additional fees.

The “Flat Tire Rule”

The Flat Tire Rule or The Two Hour Rule means that once you missed your flight the airline will issue you another standby boarding pass for the next flight; however, this only happens when you fly domestically but in some cases airlines facilitate their passengers for international flight as well.
